Oh come on.....it's kinda obvious....you should know better. Want more clues? ;)

Ok, lemme give it a shot. After eliminating the obvious no-nos, there are only a few left. How about the pics of the (Bang)Kok Bank? Are they actually not pictures exhibited at the gallery?

No no, wait. I re-read kg's words and realised he mentioned "ONE of the photos" So I could be wrong. More cluesss puh-leeezeeee.... haha

rene said...

Any prizes for getting it right? ;p No point crackin our heads for peanuts, right?... Wait... there's no mention of peanuts as well... Hmmph >:\

KG said...

OK, the clue is actually in the question posed....and when you get the answer, you will go "aaahhhhhhhh, so that's it!". You won't need to verify the answer with me cause you would know it ;)

Rene, the prize is in the satisfaction of getting it correct and being able to say "In your face!".....or if you are intellectually challenged, then having me say "Eat my shorts!" to you.

KG, how bout the one with the caption "No, this isn't an exhibit"? If Annexe is located at the other end of CM, then Dayabumi is visible from the window but Bangkok Bank is. Right?

rene said...

Alamak, I meant Dayabumi is NOT visible but Bangkok Bank is... :p

Arrghh, I am getting confused liao. I am even going to the extent of guessing if it's the pic of the flower arch??

You people....not even close.....like I said, if you see the picture and realize it...you don't have to ask me for confirmation on whether that's the one....you will know it once you see it....

Tong Huey.....I'm dissapointed ;)Quick get brainy to the computer.

Eric,

Does the photo on your mantle piece (IMG_5924a) really have a superimposed image of yourself and Kate Winslet in Titanic or is that one of CKG's photography tricks?

eric said...

bravo, dear patrick!

think you have solved the mystery of the 'photo-that-shouldnt- be -there'...

of course that is CKG's recycled Titanic photo and not really on our mantle piece haha

Szuefei said...

bravo patrick!

ahahaha... Good one! Trust our dear Patrick to "come to the rescue"... haha. (In case some of you didn't know, he used to be with Red Crescent ;p ) Guess he just saved some of us from "brain damage"... hahaha...

KG said...

Tong Huey, the picture is not small at all....come on...someone from UK can see it and you missed it ;) Anyway didn't you think it was wierd I put that photo up in the first place? Or did you think I was wierd? Hahaha....ok, I shall think of something else to make this site more exciting......

eric said...

Err..KG, u do put up some rather unusual photos at times... (note: KOK bank)

Anonymous said...

Aiya, I don't usually click on the pics to see the bigger versions ma, so that's why I missed it lor. *rubs eyes harder*.... hehe

sorry to beat you guys to it. perhaps i like to scrutinize the fine prints and have picked up the art of occlumency whilst i am here in London. i am staying a stones throw away from Grimauld place, you know. charing cross (entrance to diagon alley)is also not too far away. btw, eric and tong huey, you do have a very nice place and very nice photos on your mantle place (heehee).

best wishes

patrickng

eric said...

Thanks dude. The stuff on the mantle place are the handiworks of the missus and the credit must go to her.

Btw what's occlumency? slipped my mind for the time being. the study of gems??

Charing Cross is quite famous la bcos of the tube station. But I m surprised that Grimauld Place is a 'real' place. Think any Harry Porter Tour in the UK now sure include this place as 'must see'...

Regards,
Eric

Occlumency is the art of reading ones mind (Snape teaching Harry to which the latter refused to learn).

Charing Cross is indeed famous but actually more for the fact amongst students as there are many bookstores as well as pubs although the former appears to be dwindling in view of the exhorbitant cost of operating business there. Of course our friend JKRowling made it a buzz word by using it as the entrance to Diagon Alley via Leaky Cauldron. To be honest, some of the many pubs here do look like they qualify as Leaky Cauldron.

Nah. Grimauld Place is not real; well at least not where it is supposed to be i.e. Borough of Islington which is just a block from where I am staying. Grimauld Place actually mimics the style of houses here with long rows of white painted and brown bricked wall facades and the classic black grilled iron-mongery front. Actually since the second movie they have mostly filmed in a purpose-acquired 200 acre area north of London where all the areas in the movie have been replicated as residents in the original areas demand very high compensation for filming to be carried out - hence cheaper to buy a place apparently. My guess is that they will make it to some fantasy world ala Disney Land after the 7th movie.

Gosh, I have just indirectly admitted that I am so into JK Rowling's creation *~shy~*. Well, pick up any free London newspaper for the last few months and most of these are printed almost on a daily basis including lots on Daniel Radcliffe's full frontal nude acting in Equus.

So, anyone for a free guided tour of London by end of September?

patrickng

KG said...

Wow...have it been a year already you have been in London? How's now? Completed all your studies, crossed the t's and dotted the i's?

Sure you are free on end of September? Actually I was planning to visit Amsterdam then Toulouse in September as well but the stupid MAS do not have the tickets to Amsterdam!

Szuefei said...

why go to toulouse? there's nothing there if you are going there for leisure. just to see airbus' factory? next time just ask osw to organise a field trip for you guys to the hangar lah...

Patrick, have you met Lenny and family yet?

KG said...

Hi SF....cause my sis is there...free accomodation, nice french food etc...

eric said...

Whoa patrick...

Are you doing a pHD in Harry Porterlogy in London? Thanks for the update on the basic tenets of the series..I have yet to see the new movie The Order of The Phoenix nor yet to read the final chapter (PS: Please no posting of any spoilers here...). So thanks for refreshing my memory on occlumency.

London property prices are indeed one of the highest in the world- i read somewhere that only a guy like Roman Abramovich can afford a mansion in the west end area.

harry poterlogy sounds like a good phD topic ;)

CKG, I am basically more free the first 2 weeks of September as my first submission of thesis is 31st August. After that, I have a poster session on the 19th, oral presentation on 20th and viva on the 21st before we are given a week to make final corrections for submission by the 30th. I'll fly off on the 29th (10 pm from LHR by MAS). So, anytime you plan to come here, you are more than welcomed to bunk unless you have already booked the Ritz or Hilton.

Hi Patrick, unfortunately I won't be swinging over to London this time cause it's too time consuming and I would need to go back thru London again. So would probably wait till the next time AirAsia flys to UK before I hop over.
