Just wanna share with you guys some pictures taken while I was Down Under recently, re-living some old lessons by Alice Chia - our geography teacher! On the left, are the geysers near Lake Roturua in New Zealand (looks like Mount Doom).A farm near Waikato, also in North Island. There were a couple emus in there too. As I traveled around Auckland, funny how the names of the places sound so familiar from our old geography textbooks - the words Hamilton, Rotorua and (Dataran) Waikato just seems to roll off the tongue.
On the left is the beautiful Auckland skyline taken when we were at sea. Note the self proclaimed tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere- the Auckland Sky Tower. Nowhere as tall as the ones in KL though.Next, is the quintessential postcard picture for any visitors to Sydney.
The jewel in the crown of the Blue Mountains in Sydney- the Three Sisters rock formation.
Next up is the famous Bondi Beach, Sydney. Used to be a nudist beach but unfortunately now it isn't.
The picture on the left is taken at a vineyard at the Barossa Valley in Adelaide. Wine aficionados will be familiar with the Jacobs Creek label - which vineyard is in the vicinity too.
Lastly is a picturesque autumn setting of a cafe taken in the cowboy town of Harndorf, in Adelaide Hills, near Adelaide.

Anyway Australia & New Zealand's geography is easy-peesy lah....I challenge you to bring back photos of Pampas and Patagonia the next time :)

Eric, I understand why Bondi Beach has no nudist. Because they saw you coming head on in your Titanic ship. It's like a frightened rabbit seeing an oncoming train from the tunnel :)
In future, you may decide to use your submarine to Bondi Beach for a better shots on nudist...ha ha, just kidding!

Farnee.. my geography teacher in IJC also kinda like wanted to spit... but she normally end up with foam in her mouth at the end of the class.. serious!! Ask the IJC girls abt her!!
Aahh... Australia... my 2nd home. But ahem.. I still love Malaysia.. ooh so patriotic!!
Hahaha I see we all have the same "love" for our dear geography teacher. Well at least Eric and Lenny have the bragging rights for "women salivating over them".
AaahhH: It's the char kueh tiou, roti canai, durians etc....that actually make you love Malaysia right? So you are having the best of both worlds now :)
Actually.. the food is only the side things.. it's the many different races we have... so diverse and yet fragilely linked together, the many languages I hear when I walk on the streets, the ability of the Malaysian chinese from Malay, to english, to hokkien, to mandarin and cantonese.. and a few can even burst out in Tamil. Amazing!
Also, becos it's relatively easy here to make friends.. people are not so private! And best of all, it's easier to get a job here than there! Other than Melbourne and Sydney.. I don't think that its easy for an Asian to get a job with my qualification! Since I am not a 'professional'.
